They are right when they say that it is the little things in life that often times make the biggest difference. And that goes even without saying when it comes to chocolate cake . It is very hard to find a person who does not like a good chocolate cake and who isn't lying! It seems as though we all grew up on the stuff and have loved it ever since. The smell as it was baking in the oven and the restraint that one had to exercise in order not to dig into it too soon and ruin it. Ah...chocolate cake can really take us back to the good old days when we had not a care in the world.

Going back to a better place...

When we were little kids all we wanted to do was be older so that we could do all the great things that we thought our parents and other adults got to do almost constantly. We hated it when everybody tried to tell us what to do and didn't let us do many of the things that we really wanted to do. But, now that we are in the place that we thought we always wanted to be, well, wouldn't it be great to be a kid again? Funny how that stuff works itself out and seemingly not in our favor! But, sometime we can (and should) shut down our brains for a little while and act as though we haven't a care in the world, let alone any responsibility! Those are the times that call for a chocolate cake !

You can revel in the memories of all the chocolate cake you had when you were little - and remember that now you can have it anytime you want (see there are advantages to being an adult!). Get out one of your recipes and start hitting the appliances that have not been used for some time. In no time at all you will be stuffing your face with the sweet and moist sponginess of a homemade cake just like the ones that you had to beg for, before you had all this responsibility.
