Alice Baker, the Chocolate Chip Muffin Maker Once there was a woman named Alice Baker. She had a chocolate chip muffin recipe that was to die for. It was a recipe handed down to her from generations of Bakers. And just like every generation of Bakers before her, she always added her own little tweak to the recipe to make it uniquely her own. Alice wasn't out to seek fame or fortune with her chocolate chip muffin recipe, but she inadvertently found it. One day, her granddaughter came over after school and said her school was having a bake sale. She asked if she would make the chocolate chip muffin recipe her family adored so much. Of course, Alice obliged, and it was then that she was "discovered." Busy moms who would host wedding showers or brunches would call Alice and ask if she would make the muffins for their events, offering to pay her, of course. Eventually word got around town about the muffins, and soon Alice found herself in the middle of a booming business. She decided to make it official and got all the right permits to start her own business--The Chocolate Chipper. She even rented a small space downtown. Although the chocolate chip muffin was her speciality, she had a repertoire of other amazing recipes for baked goods as well. She eventually hired people to help her, and today she's sitting on a goldmine.
