Godiva Chocolates Always Make A Great Impression

There are a few things that all fine chocolates share and Godiva chocolates have all these characteristics. They have always maintained the highest quality by cutting no corners. A lot more time, energy, and cost go into the production of Godiva chocolates than does for your average confection. This of course is reflected in the cost of the product itself, but a chocolate lover can easily satisfy their craving with only a few Godiva chocolates.

Godiva quality starts with the ingredients, which are only of the highest quality. The bittersweet and milk chocolate are made from fine, flavor-rich coffee beans, processed until they are smooth as silk. Their fillings are made from large quantities of butter and heavy cream. The hazel nut praline is made from finely ground hazelnuts, sugar, and chocolate. Cherries for cordials are hand sorted to ensure that no pits remain and, of course, the cherries themselves are never dyed with food coloring. They even have their own process of drying fruits to better capture the freshness that is lost during conventional freezing.

What Makes the Difference

There is an enormous quality gap between Godiva chocolates and those you can generally find in, say, the grocery store. First of all they look different, finer chocolates have a natural satiny sheen and a consistent color--no air bubbles here. The quality will also be reflected in the craftsmanship of shape and design. When you open a box of Godiva chocolates the aroma is fresh and deep, not at all like the stronger, sticky-sweet smell that emanates from those made with artificial flavors and preservatives. And the taste is much more refined, intense yet with subtle nuances of texture. The coating on the outside of the chocolate should kind of snap when you bite it and the filling will compliment the flavor and texture of the outside.
